Lovely portrait, nice clean background good catch light in the eye. My only comment is the OOF flower in the foreground maybe you could crop slightly at the bottom so that the vividness of the flowers are less distracting.

My favorite China bird so far. Sharp with a wonderful singing pose and clean BKGR. You could tone down the YELLOWs in one of three ways: 1-de-SAT. 2-15% or so Blue Photo Filter 3-Take away YELLOW (add BLUE) to the YELLOWs in Selective Color.

Great singing pose! Artie makes an excellent suggestion about the yellows of an otherwise excellent perch. I don't know what these birds look like but it seems like some more contrast might help.

Sharp and nice singing pose. I agree w/ Doug, a touch more contrast. I'd also tone down the yellows.

Thanks for the tips! I'm moving through hundreds of shots but will swing back and apply your suggestions. The flower is an obvious problem, but I was wondering about contrast. What exactly could be improved, and how exactly would I make the improvement?
