Malcolm, Very nice sharp details. I like the iridescence of the greens. Nice low angle as Peter noted. It seems a bit tight all around for me.

Lovely for all the reasons mentioned above. Nice job. My only other comment is that some of the whites on the breast look a little bright to me. If this were mine I would try toning down the brighter bits a little to see how that effected the presentation. Thanks for sharing!

    Malcolm:

Good comments already. On my monitor I can still see the ribbing on the breast, so the whites are pretty close. The overall detail is nice, good head angle, shooting angle. Yes to a bit tight, but when they start swimming towards you, all you can do is fire away and get the best framing you can!

    Cheers

    Malcolm:

I had a minute to re visit your image. In retrospect, even though I tend to like darker images than many, I think your image would present a bit better with about + 3/4 a diopter more of exposure. This will cook some of the whites, but I used the recovery slider in ACR and they did well.

Just an option. I also thought that change really highlighted the green on the neck.

    Cheers

Thanks for all the comments everyone, I appreciate it .. for the record I think it's a bit tight too but I needed to hear it to believe it :) I do like this exposure but I'll have another look to see if I can get the green to pop a bit more and Randy you're spot on about needing to back up as they swim toward you .. I was in a canoe and back paddling and shooting like crazy. Thanks again folks.
