Default How to find exposure compensation a photo used?

Suppose I shoot with my canon 50D at

    f/5.6
    Av mode
exposure compensation dialed in +1 stop
    no flash

as near as I can tell, Lightroom just shows me the actual shutter speed used (say 1/2500 s). I'd like to see

    1/5000 s
    +1

    or even

    1/2500 s
    +1

This is so I can better understand the effect of exposure compensation in various conditions and learn from it. However right now it seems I need to make note of it in the field because I can't get it back from the raw photos.

Is the camera simply not writing the exposure compensation amount into the raw file? Or is Lightroom just not showing it to me? And if the latter, how do I check the EC that was used on a photo?

Lightroom should show this info - i dont use lightroom but ...

There is a tab that says Metadata - and you should select ALL - to get it to show all metadata -(From memory)

Look for the Metadata Tab on the right hand side of LR(scroll up/down until you see the metadata line)....just to the left is a box with options (may initially say "default" with up/down arrow.
    Open this and select "EXIF"
Exposure bias is mid-way down. This will be the EC.
