Here is another fract for the week... this time it is a borrows goldeneye (org in the next post). I tried to keep this simple - applied fract on a different layer and then used mask to paint over with different shades of black. Cropped and applied usm for the final web version. Hope you like it... your c&c will be appreciated.

Indranil, I am loving your Fractalius work. You really are putting it to work for you. Love the deep, dark colors and the electric glow. I might want to remove the glow from the reflected part of the duck and maybe mask back just a bit of detail in the head, as it seems that the eye wants a more tangible place to reside. Nice work!

Indranil, Great suggestions by Kerry. I think this will look great w/ a few tweaks. The area where the head meets the body could use some definition. The glow looks good on the duck and the water color rocks.

Indranil, I like the simple lines and agree with Kerry on a little more detail in the head. The water colors are beautiful.

I love the repost with some color in the head. The water is fabulous! I love to photograph ducks in winter when they are here in MS but I've never seen a goldeneye. I'll have to dig among my many thousands of bird photos and see what I can come up with.
