Default HMWYBS In Camera - The Path

I just had my 30D converted to IR and this is a hand held, longer exposure because I wanted to have a soft effect in camera. I set the black & white points and a slight crop.

    C&C welcome:)

Cheryl, It's beautiful! It looks like there is some kind of texture applied. I might crop the left to eliminate the tree on the edge of the frame. Very lovely. I may have to give this a try w/PP. The only thing that is odd to the eye is that the path gets clearer as it gets farther away but I still love the look.:)Nice job w/ this one.

Nice image, Cheryl. I liked how you framed the picture. I would have preferred a bit more contrast if it were mine. Congratulations on your 30D IR conversion; waiting to see more IR images! TFS.

Cheryl, congrats on your new IR conversion. I like the soft effect and would be tempted to go a little bit further with it by adding some Gaussian blur. Looking forward to more like this - we don't see many IR images lately!

Love the soft almost floral look. Yes to a crop from the left. The only thing that bugs me is the lower right frame edge where there is a strip lighter than the rest....

Cheryl, this is very pretty and serene. I agree that a slight gaussian blur might be effective but I think that crop is good as presented. Look forward to more IR from you :)

Kerry, be careful what you wish for:p This might become addictive.

Denise, Indranil, Kerry, Artie and Nicki - this was one of the first IR images that I did when I got my camera back - and although I liked it I wasn't sure what others would think so I appreciate your kind comments. Unfortunately, the texture was created by my less than steady hand hold:o but it was what I was hoping to accomplish.

I like the soft look and the composition as-is. I'm not an IR fan but this is a nice one. As some suggested, you might try a little blur on it.

Very nice, Cheryl. I love the soft IR and the leading line of the path. The texture kind of resembles that of a pastel painting. Well done. :)
