This image was taken on a drizzly morning on Floreana Island, Galapagos last July. (And, yes, I should have moved to the right to get separation between my subjects - duh!) Anyway, this post also comes with a quiz. This is a photo of: a) Artie exhibiting a new laid back style of leading photo tours, b) Artie demonstrating a new method for getting that low camera angle, c) Artie baiting in vultures (forgetting that there are no vultures in the Galapagos), or d) Artie resting his sore back on a slow day. Good luck! And Artie, I hope your back is better. Oops, I may have given away the answer there.
I'm not sure about the species, Al, but this one was about 18 inches long. There were a couple of these lying around - long dead and dried up. I expect that the Naturalist/Guides use these as props to educate their tour groups from time to time. They make good photo props too. :)
