The foot up is nice, with birds angle in the frame good, exposure very close, maybe a few warmish areas in the whites.
It looks like you were shooting at an angle along the beach, which makes him seem to need a CW rotation. Part of it is optical illusion because of pose, but I still think it needs just a bit of CW.
He is fairly well centered from left to right, so a bit more canvas in front would be nice.
In addition to the above losing the stone in the water and the smaller stone on the lower left frame edge would be plusses. Did you have more room in front?
