    Default Ruffed Grouse

With our snowfall accumulations this season being our second highest on record (and not finished yet!!) our opportunities to photograph birds and other wildlife in snowy settings have been, well, quite plentiful. Here is a Ruffed Grouse sitting comfortably at the base of a fresh snowbank - taken in early January of this year.

The subtle colors and crisp detail against the snow makes this a great Image!!

Nice sharp image here Dan. I particularly like the eye. I haven't seen this bird since the Christmas holidays but it did give us a few opportunities then.

Great exposure control and details. I might give it a bit more space at the bottom.

Stunning capture Daniel. Love the BG and the wonderful color and detail of the grouse. Your exposure was right on and the image is nicely framed. As Axel mentioned a little more room at the bottom but do love this image as presented too.
