Default Depth of Field - in camera best shot

    D3 200f2 + TC17EII (340mm) f/3.4 (wide open with TC) 1/1250 ISO200 spot metering/focus - small adjustments in LR conversion, sharpening, saturation

Took this a couple of years ago during a wide open phase ;) ... still a personal favorite. Blur is all depth of field.

    Thanks for looking/commenting.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Michael, I really like the blur and the colors of the background. Very dreamy looking! I'm wondering if a ROT position for the middle stem might look good. Nicely presented.

Michael, beautiful colours and very dreamy as Denise has said. I might like to see the whole image as a blur as well :)

Michael, I love the colors and the blur - it looks like silk. I agree with Nicki that it would look also nice with the whole image blurred.:)

Hi Michael, I like the contrast of the one sharp stalk among the blurred ones. I wouldn't change it other than the suggested crop to move it a bit to the right. Good idea and execution!

Pleasing colors and blur. Another vote for an off center crop getting the main stem out of the center.

    Denise, Nicki, Cheryl, Kerry, Michael,

Thank you for the comments. A slight crop off the right works for me but balanced against keeping all the vertical (& most of the aspect ratio).

    Cheers,
