    Default The Reznick Flip

    Hi y'all,

A few years back I participated in a workshop conducted by Ron Reznick. He wowed us one night by showing us an image he took of a bird flipping its catch before it swallowed it. Most birds do it and try to position their catch to go down head first. We dubbed it the "Reznick Flip".

Here's a young wood stork doing the flip at the Viera Wetlands

    HI Harry,

Good catch. Looks a little dark and too tight for my taste.

Thanks for the comment Maxis. I didn't find it too dark but I have never been accused of good taste. :D I'm glad now that I didn't post the tight crop version. ;)

Harry good head angle and action in this image. It's amazing that a bird this big would catch fish this small. A slightly bigger F-stop (7.1 or 8) night have keep the whole bill and fish as sharp as the eye is.

Great timing and details. I agree that a wider crop would improve the image.
