This image was taken at the same birding spot as my previous White-faced Duck. Some times we capture them with a water BG, and other times against an OOF foliage BG. I liked the colours in this.

Me too like the colours in this mate. It compliments the duck nicely. Love the wingspread, underwing detail and sharp eye.

Nothing to critique - beautiful natural colors, great lighting and perfect background. A challenging bird to catch with the bright white of the head and the contrasting browns but you nailed it!

Great sharpness and exposure. The lighting here is sweet and that background colour compliments the subject perfectly. Overall a really good flight image!

Good job, Stu. I have a soft spot for these ducks and you've caught this beautifully with a lovely winter BG. I'm envious:). I might try and reduce the OOF diagonal LUC as all the other lines go with the flow of movement but this one crosses them.

Stuart, that dramatic BG takes this one to another level....makes it one-of-a-kind as well. Superb head position with catchlight. Gorgeous light.
