Default HMWYBS - PP Fractalius Egret

I thought I'd try something different so hope you like it. I cloned out the top snowy, painted part of the top bg black, used Frac. Impression 1, then Nik Foliage, converted to B&W and used Fractalius Lines with an exclusion blend and masked back in the egret. I thought it had an oriental look to it.

    Comments and suggestions appreciated:)

Cheryl, I like your interpretation of the base image. Good thinking! I like the graphic look of the background and the way it contrasts with the head of the egret. You might try to bring the eye out a little more. Well done.

Cheryl, It's a nice artistic interpretation of the original as Kerry has said. I also agree it does have an oriental feel. Some of the edges of the bird have a bit of the BG transitioning over them which is fine but I feel the bit of dark on the wing tip is something I would consider removing. Nice work with this one and way to think OOTB!.

Very artistic rendering, Cheryl. Love the pose and the BG effect. The largest black area just to the left of the bird bothers me a little. I wonder how it would look with that area lightened to gray.

Cheryl, beautiful artisitc rendition. I agree with Christopher's suggestion about lightening that dark patch. The softness appeals to me very much :)

Beautiful composition, Cheryl. Love the soft and subtle effect. Agree with Christopher on the black spot. Nicely processed.
