No action images today, well here is an experiment to critique.
We had pretty marginal weather for our air show this year and most of my experiments went pretty poorly but one has to try. I sort of like the effect of this F-15 above the clouds but the head angle police may have some grounds to ticket me.
Convention says to allow space where the subject is heading but I often find that violation of this "rule" with jets tends to give one a sense of speed, especially if there are contrails.
I agree that in the case of fast moving objects sometimes it's better to place the subject to show more of where it's been rather than where it's going, I might even crop a little more from the top. Nice action shot that looks like it was taken from another plane with those dramatic clouds in the BG.
I'll have to agree that for an image like this, the position in the frame and HA take a back seat to emphasizing the power and thrust of the engine. Just my 2 cents. maybe just a touch more contrast would bring out the cloud detail a bit more.
