While hiking around New Mexico, we came across this outhouse. With such a beautiful view they should have put in a window. I photographed this 3 image HDR handheld with my Canon 5D Mark II. ISO 100, f/2.8, EF24-70mm f/2.8L, 57mm, Evaluative Metering, Autgo Exposure, Auto WB, No Flash. Comments Welcome.......

Hi Richard, good comp and placement of OH. A few things...Looks like it was shot around midday so the light was a bit harsh.
I'm curious to know why you shot this at F2.8 and gave yourself very little DOF? You showed all the specs except the SS.
Finally a bit tight on the bottom and I would of added a small amount of room...

Richard, I like the way the wooden outhouse looks. It almost looks to have an Orton effect. The colors, clouds and the layered mountains add nicely to this. I agree a bit more room on the bottom as Dave noted.

That's what I get for hiking at 9000 feet. The lack of oxygen must have gotten to my brain. I didn't even realize I shot it at f/2.8 until i worked on the image. Sorry, but I'm not going back......
