Clematis
I added a slight fractalius effect to this. (My soft-fix preset) I also used the pinch tool in photoshop. I liked the way it pulled back the center. I punched up the colors but then decided that I liked the original colors better. It added a more graphic feel, if that makes any sense?:)
This forum is quickly becoming my favorite on this site...I love the artistic views of every post here and this image is a prime illustration. I may not post often but you can be sure that I'm really enjoying the work here. Thanks so much for sharing your images.

It does have a graphic quality to it. Nice work.
Stunning. Reminds me of something from an elegant wedding. The flower center might need a wee bit of sharpening as the ?s (long purple things) look just a hair sharper.

I believe they are the flowers' stamen or pistels.

Denise, beautifully simple and elegant. I forget about the pinch tool - but it worked really nicely with this flower. I love the composition and the purple things;)

This is awesome, Denise! Lovely composition, and I love the elegant look of the stamens and flower center against the high-key petals. I think I would lighten the petals on the upper left side so that they match the brightness of the others, but that's just my opinion. Well done.
