How about I take a break from my recent Kingfisher posts with this one?

From one great bird to another. Love this one. Wish for a little better head angle , but us photographers are never happy. Nice comp. and the deatils are outstanding.

    Morkel:

Beautiful bird, well exposed, like the pose, angle, comp.

Might consider toning down the green vertical area through your sig line.

    Cheers

Lovely perspective Mork, and you have brought out the colours nicely. Typical enviroment walking on lily pads. I still need a decent shot of one of these.

Morkel, I like the pose, details and comp. I feel it's a tiny bit tight but that is just my preference. Nicely done. Another vote to tone down the line that runs thru your sig.

Mork-man, This is as good as I have ever seen on this species. I love the low angle and the perfect blue of the shield.

thanks so much for the kind comments everyone. I am working on a sub-optimal system now while my PC is getting fixed so I am not going to attempt a lot of rework on my posts

Gorgeous shot Morkel. The low angle makes this one for me together with the cool habitat! I would suggest to clone out or darken the lighter stem/patch in the UL of the BG. Great colours on the Jacana. Well done

Love the low head angle, lighting and environment. Would prefer more head turn though.
