Just messing around with my camera in the back yard. Grabbed this shot as a flicker was calling from a dead elm tree. I kinda like it. What do you think

Beautiful colors in this one, Janet, especially catching the yellow tail feathers. I wish we were looking straight onto the flicker instead of up, but I also know that's often what you get with these birds. The head is slightly OOF although the tail and lower part of the perch look sharper. You might run some selective sharpening on the bird's head and upper perch. Also maybe crop some off the left. Thanks for sharing!
Janet, Not sure why you shot it at an f/18 unless you were going for an intentional blur-which is what I think you were going for. I think that it needs more blur or more sharpness. It is kind of in limbo between the two.
