    Default Bald Eagle at Sunset

I took this photo in Acadia National Park. I came across a channel that traps fish in just a few inches of water during low tide. It looked like a perfect spot for an eagle to feed; not too much longer 2 juveniles and a pair of adult bald eagles showed up. This adult eagle dove down for a fish during the peak golden light of sunset, the water almost looked like liquid gold.

Canon 50D, Canon EF 300mm f4, 1/1000, f4, ISO 500, auto focus, hand held, aperture priority, spot metered, I did crop this photo.

Love the eye contact and action captured. Might be a bit tight and some of the rocks are a bit distracting. Might do some sellective sharpening on the eagle as it seems to lack detail. Perhaps due to the crop.

I like how you can only see the splashes the fish is making it makes it seem a little mysterious! The eye contact and overall action add to that.
    Agree with Joe about sharpening.
I also love the yellow/golden background, goes great with the image!
Nice picture, looking forward to more :)

Thanks, I will sharpen the eagle and maybe re-crop so it's not so close, that may help with the lack of detail.
