Here is another image from my recent trip to Alaska. After going through more images, I think I like this one better than the one I posted a couple days ago.

Shooting Details: Canon 1DMk2N, EF 500 f4L IS lens, 1/250@ f4, iso 800 in natural light, tripod mounted. Thanks for viewing.

The subjects are the same, but personally I prefer the first one.

The only reasons I can give is that the first one is probably a rare combination of head angles (sorry for using the dreaded term;)), and this is less "tidy"

Nevertheless I would love to see them let alone get such good images.

    Hi Tim

I too vote for the OP. As Ken has said, this is just too close to the original, although you are not alone in this, but it's good to post something different from the series.

I like the hint of water in the foreground with a hint of reflection, but would like more space on the rhs. Also not keen on the green cutting through the head of the sow. Nice and sharp where it needs to be, with good colour & detail.

This is an extraordinarily rare event. Just getting the image is an accomplishment, even without artistry. The weather in that area is usually poor. The cubs are usually scattered in all directions. Despite that, this is very well done. I was happy to get 2 shots of the Yellowstone quads at great distance in the fog and snow, but I would never post them here. Congratulations.
