    40D. 400 f5.6L at f/6.3. iso 800. 1/640s. exp. comp +1 1/3 and pushed further during raw conversion.

It was quite cloudy and dull. had to push ISO more than I like to and then push further in post. Since the bird was moving a lot, I did not want to risk a lower SS. Did not want to shoot wide-open due to the bird's angle. The focus is not perfect as the bird moved a bit as I did focus-recompose. cropped from horizontal.

I havent done a lot of shorebird photography...so this was a very learning experience for me. All C&C welcome.

I like the soft light, calm water, angle and inclusion of the reflection. I might put the bird a little bit further to the left in the frame and it looks as if it needs a bit CCW rotation.

Hi Kaustubn, simplicity is always difficult to execute because it looks easy, it's not, but this has been done well. Clean and simple, nice one.

Great detail and reflection. Subject is well exposed with good soft colours. Well done !

I like your composition with the reflection. Agree on the rotation and a bit of contrast may pop the bird up :)
