I went with wide-open as the bank was very close to the birds. In hind sight, I should have stopped down a bit. I had to sharpen the top bird much more than the bottom as it was out of the DOF range.

I guess I need to add canvas at the top as I dont have any room above in the orig. Any other inputs? wishing the bottom bird would have given me a better head turn.

    Thanks for looking.

Good looking species of duck Kaustubh, and well done on capturing opposite flying postures. At the angle of capture, both should have fallen in your DOF. Having said that, your final result on sharpness has worked out very well. They both pop nicely from the BG. Well captured.

Cool juxtaposition, good details and BG. It could go a bit wider and I wish the birds were angled toward you. Maybe a tad more saturation?

I love the matching line flow of the birds here. Great catch as this isn't your usual BIF image.

Great double sharp detail and both sharp. Like the comp. Subject's is well exposed with good natural colours against a killer bg. Well done !

Your self-critique is pretty harsh. Both birds are rendered sharp here and the BKGR is nice and soft. My only wish would be for the near-wing of the upper bird were in the full up position. Otherwise, excellent: SH, EXP, framing, juxtaposition.
