Default Digital Creation: Grasshopper and Grass

This image is a composition of two images. I shot the background of the grasses a couple of weeks ago in Colorado. I then captured a grasshopper and shot it indoors in soft natural window light with a green background. I removed the green background and placed the grass background in its place. This is one of my best PS creations as I don't often create images using PS

Chris, this is really nice work and I think you should do more PS images. Very clean composite and I love the grasses in the background. Good color match between the elements as well.

Chris, Excellent composite. My only thoughts are to try to bring the GH out of the center of the image a bit. I really like the blurred grass and the sharp details of the GH. I agree with Kerry, You should do more of these.

Nice PS work Chris, has a real 3D feel to it. Might tone down the blade that the grasshopper is on a bit, but very nice work.

Chris, I like everything about this - I hope you'll do more:) It really is very 3 dimensional. I agree with Jackie about toning down the bottom of the grass. (You took it in your house?? )

Very well done composite, Chris. Love the colors and 3d feel. Good suggestions by Denise and Jackie.

Ah, I will be the odd man out here. Love the critter and even the stalk it is on, but the BKGR does not work for me at all. The GH is lost in the grasses. And the lighter, o-o-f grasses to the right of the GH are especially distracting.
