    Default Puffy Clouds and Tree

I had another new thing to play with this week... Pixel Bender plugin for CS5. It's so much fun that I did a whole gallery full of images this weekend! Here is one of my favorites. Sorry about the strange composition but I was in a friend's car at a stop sign and saw the beautifully shaped tree with little puffy clouds above it so I hung out the window and took the pic, aiming high to miss the cars and telephone poles at the intersection.

In addition to Pixel Bender which is free from Adobe labs, I also used Topaz Adjust and really pumped up the color and detail.

Judy, Did the program add the border to the two sides? This is very creative and fun. It may have been nice to see more of the lower part of the tree but I understand that was not possible. Colors are very punched up and add to the feel of the image.

Hi Judy, I really like the results you got with your new toy. It seems very much like Topaz Clean. Very nice effect and I like the way the tree colors transition into the sky.

    Judy,
Cool creation, looks like it is a canvas painting.
I rather like your composition. I liked it well enough to monkey around with it.
Please find another composition. Not necessarily better, but different.
This is OOTB - you must decide!

Thanks Denise. Yes the plugin added the borders. Funny it's only on the sides. Should I have cropped them off? I wondered about that.

Looks like a way cool filter Judy, Wouldn't mind seeing the whole tree, but I am sure there are lots more to come!

Thanks James! I like your crop better. I have re-worked the image from scratch and cropped off the border at the left too. I tried starting with the dng image instead of the low-res web image and it didn't turn out, way too much detail. I'd like to print one so I guess I'll have to take the large image and save it for the web at 72 res or a little higher and then use Pixel Bender and Topaz.

Judy, the repost is great. I really like the effect - it reminds me of a Georgia O'Keefe painting.:)
