    Default A purple heron at sunset

    This image has been photographed near Varna, Bulgaria on 2007, 30th of April at sunset (18h).
    This is a young purple heron – pay attention to the other purple heron, hidden in the grass.
    The used equipment is:
    Canon 30D body
    Canon 500mm f/4 L IS USM Autofocus Lens
    f5 @ 1/800
    ISO 400

    Nice action pose, a little too dark and I would also crop 1/3 almost off the top. Welcome to BPN!

    Nikolay this is definitely is an adult, most probably a male, bird landing :)
    I find this image too large. Would crop from all the side.

    Agree on the crop from top Not much going on up there and would make bird larger in frame One bird I would love to photograph !!!
