Another of the Bonaparte's gull image from last week... I liked the dorsal view as it was shuffling its feathers. The head seems to be angled slightly away. Here are the settings -

    7D, Sigma 50-500mm @ 363mm handheld
1/1600 sec, f/8 Mode: Av Metering: Evaluative Exp comp: -1 ISO: 400, AI Servo AF

Adjusted for levels and boosted neutral in selective colors. Applied a light round of DeNoise 5 and usm on the final web version. All C&C are welcome.

Hi - looks like the head is angled slightly away - maybe the HAP will want to question you ;)
Whites look close to the edge on my screen - might not be over but up there in a couple of spots?
Could use a tad more sharpening - IMHO.
A lower shooting angle might have been good - but probably not possible.
    Keep em coming :)

Agree with Lance and can add the image has appeal, exposure is right on the money all with sweet light !!! Excellent !!! ... lower angle would have been better but have a feeling was not possible for this one !!!

Hi Indranil, Lances and Al's comments are right on..Lighting is warm and I'm sure you could bring out a bit more detail. I think you could get by with a little(not much) less space in front of the bird...
