    Default Red-breasted nuthatch

    Taken earlier this morning in my back yard. It is amazing how tame these little birds get.
    I seldom use extenders and I think I might have lost some quality on this shot because of the extender.

    Canon 5D2
    500mm f4L IS, 1.4X
    ISO 800, f8, 1/400 sec

    Lovely colors in the BG. Nice pose, DOF and detail in the feathers.

    looks nice, I'd back off with sharpening there are some halo artifacts. nice pose and BG.

    Hi Bob,
    Agree with Arash about backing off on the sharpening but I am really enjoying this image. Sweet pose and the food item really takes this over the top for me :) I'm always amazed at how acrobatic these little birds are!!

    That's quite a pose, lovely green bg, nice texture with the bark and of course the little seed is great. All in all, well done---maybe a bit less sharpening.
