As a relative newbie to the world of bird photography I feel that joining BPN has been an enormous benefit to me.
It's just fantastic to have access to the depth of knowledge and experience that is so freely shared here, if one is willing to read and learn it dramatically shortens the learning curve.
I would guess in my case it has cut off several years and I certainly appreciate it.
