    I am pretty sure this is a juvenile BCNH. At first I thought it was injured as I have never seen one sitting in the water... and at 10 AM in the morning. Usually I see them early evening before sundown when they are wading along the shoreline. It was not injured...maybe it was just cooling off in the intense heat

    Ken not sure what this bird is up to but have seen them at Shark Valley swiming around like ducks ... intersting !!!

    interesting image would you consider saturating the bird somewhat?

    Very nice action and I really like the bg.

    I am not sure about juvie BCNH, but in another month or so when the juvie GBH's start showing up on feeding forays they seem to do various odd things. Certainly easier to get close to.

    Hi Ken, I like the open beak and the colored water. I would have preferred the HA facing more toward the viewer and I would remove the foliage on the left. Might darken the bird just a bit...
