Default X-rite Eye-One 2: ICC profile not found upon reboot

    Hi all,

I've been seeing for a while an error message by the x-rite eye-one display 2 software that the ICC profile can not be found and it prompts me to do a calibration when I reboot my Macbook Pro (OS 10.6.4). However, when looking at the display/color panel in system preferences it uses the correct and most current calibration profile. If I do a calibration it shows the same error message again upon the next reboot.

Anyone familiar with this? Unfortunately, I rarely reboot my machine hence I forgot about this issue and I am not sure when this problem showed up and if it is related to any software upgrade/installation (e.g. upgrade to snow leopard, installation of PS CS5 etc.).

    Thanks in advance. JR

I don't have this problem on my MacBook Pro. Where is the icc file stored? On my computer it's under Macintosh HD > Library > ColorSync > Profiles

    Axel,

I just resolved it. Turns out that I had installed ver 3.6.3 of the Eye One Match software at some point (and forgotten about it) but it apparently didn't replace the 3.6.2 version. So, I had two version of the software in the same directory on my machine and the 3.6.2 was complaining upon reboot.

Guess being challenged on the color temperature of my Whimbrel posting this morning turned out well as it finally forced me to address this issue. Oh, and it still looks the same. :)

Sorry about the noise but perhaps this post is still useful if someone else runs into this issue.

    Thanks for everything.

Good to hear that you could easily solve it and the whimbrel didn't turn purple. :)
