    Taken the same more as the previous post of the whistling duck. the sun was just coming up and the BCNH were quite active for a few minutes.

    Nikon D300
    Nikon 300mm F 2.8
    ISO640,1/1250. F7.1

    Excellent image of a species you don't often see in this pose. Wonderful, complimentary BG with nice light on the outstretched wings. Good job on the techs.

    Wing position, light, BG and dangling feet make this one for me. I only wish for a bit more eye contact.

    Love the light and the wing pose.

    The head buried in the wing doesn't quite work for me but if there had been more eye contact as Axel suggested, this would have been less of an issue.

    I would clone out the OOF blobs in the sky as they don't appear as being connected to anything (even though I know they are)

    Very nice flight pose and sweet pose. Agree on the eye contact and I like Jim's idea of cloning off the tree tops in the otherwise painterly BG.
