    Hi,
I got this image in Everglades Nat. Pk. in January and just re discovered it. Early morning back lighting... I guess if I had a flash it would have made a BIG difference, however the Rim Lighting etc. has a look...Do you think I should "work" on trying to lighten up the bird? Suggestions/Comments welcome and obviously needed!! Michael (The Blind Squirrel)

I know that bird Michael !!!! From the back side?

Did not see the tech info but seems you had a decent shutter speed for stopping the action Not sure if light from the flash would have reached Would try lightening the bird I like the rim light !!!!

Excellent photo Michael. Love the way you stopped the action at the right time.
    Congrats.

    Hi Michael,
I think the rim light is perfect. If you lightened the body, it may look contrived (since it will be contrived :)). I love the fact the water hasn't even started to ripple around its toes and the light through the feathers is beautiful. My vote is not to do any more to it.

    Hey Michael,
You got yourself a very nice shot stopping the motion. What focal length and shutter speed did you use? The back light from Mother Nature highlights this baby just fine. In my opinion just leave it the way it is...:D

    Congrats...
