This was taken this week at Viera. It was early in the morning as the sun was beginning to wake up and the whistling ducks were quite active. This was taken as one of the parents was coming into to check on the babies.

    Hi Judy,
Very cool pose. lovely wing position and HA. The only thing that is bothering me somewhat is the piece of dark mud in the BG. Otherwise a great shot!

Extremely sweet light and good pose. Agree with Krijn on the mud patch. Just a bit of work, but doable :)

Sweet sweet sweet! I just love that light and the fact that it mirrors the colours of the duck so well. Agree about the mud :)

Duck really pops from the background and the background colors show off the bird well --

I actually had thought about taking the mud out and then opted to leave it as a natural look but will try and see what it looks like removed. Thank you all for your comments as they are most appreciated. ;)

    Have a wonderful weekend !!!!

Interesting landing posture Judy, and I like the dangling head and neck. Just love those colours in the BG too.

Cool landing pose, good sharpness and the BG colors make this one for me. I would probably remove the dark patch, too.

Ditto Krijn plus gorgeous light and sharp, sharp, sharp. Not much to go about the unfortunate mud bar with the small ripples in the water....

Nicely done Judy, I loved the head down pose and the morning light has lit up the bird well.

Removing the mud will take lots of skill and hard work and time as there are patterns in the water to be dealt with...
