Default Skimmer - Palms - Sunset

Personally, I love that image. The sliver of horizon at the bottom with the palms - a bit more space to the left would have been beneficial. The sunset. The skimmer - although I would have preferred it flying into the frame from the right. The juxtaposition of the palms and skimmer. The darker cloud band in the top third of the image.

Of course, you may disagree. :) Would love to hear your opinion.

Photographed at Bolsa Chica Wetlands, Huntington Beach, CA.

I like the mood and light and can see why you like this image. I might crop a little off the top and adding canvas on the left would be relatively easy.

I like it oo, John, I may consider also adding dark canvas for more grounding to the image. Well seen!

Most vital? More canvas on the left to better balance the COMP. More black on the bottom would not hurt. It look as if the bird were flying away but it is sometimes (as here) impossible to tell.

Like the sunset colors and the SH.

Nice warm colors and pleasant mood Joerg. Good eye to pick this out as a winner - I might have just overlooked this if browsing through my shots.
