Sorry for my inactivity of late...hectically busy on this side and not getting round to processing enough avian shots and browsing the forum. :(

Another image from my outing to Pilanesberg last week. I know I overcooked some of the whites here, these guys are tricky to expose for detail in the blacks and whites, especially against a varying background such as this. After this shot I dialed down my exposure bias to about +0.3-0.7 for most shots.

    Techs:
    Canon 7D with 100-400mm L IS USM @ 320mm
    f7.1 @ 1/1600 SS @ ISO-800
    Exp +1

I like the wing position, eye contact and BG. The fish adds to it. I might lighten the whites that are not sunlit.

Great suggestion by Axel. Good flight pose, catch light and prey. I may tone done the highlight line that runs exactly through the body. Viveza would do a great job there.

Well placed in the frame Mork, with a super flying posture. Cant beat that BG. Well captured.

All nits aside Morkel, love the BG and banking position in nice light. As with a lot of B&W birds, not easy getting the exp balance right.
