A good pose Ken and I like the raised foot. F9 is a head scratcher as there was apparently not much light coming through the clouds.

Agree a vertical would also work if you have some more "headroom".

    Cheers

I may try vertical here but loving the landscape format , space for elephant to 'march' in , You are killing us with Zimbabwe images :)

Thanks for the comments, F9 really stupid I have no logical excuses for that.

The major problem with the Elephants in Hwange is that there is so much going on at any one time that it is almost impossible to keep up with it (great problem to have)

This would definitely have been better in portrait, and a more open F stop, next time:D

Looks like the fellow was starting to warn you to get away from his territory. I like the raised trunk, and raised front foot too. Start of a mock charge maybe???

I really like the raised trunk and the raised left front leg... the mostly 'head on' angle is great to see the mouth, and the eye contact makes this even better. Awesome capture!

    Stuart,

He was just arriving at the waterhole, and I like to think he was greeting the others allready drinking, but of course he was just sniffing them out.

    John,

Thanks a lot, Elephants are so expressive.
