    Default Project Feathers: Short-billed Dowitcher

This picture was taken in May of this year near downtown Toronto.

I decided to take a tight crop of the flanks, tertials, primaries and tail mainly because I liked the detail of the flank and tertial feathers and the contrast between those two groups of feathers.
    Hope you like it!

I believe the sub-species of this bird is 'Griseus', in case that interests anyone!

    C&C always appreciated!
    thanks in advance

Also, a side note. How do I make my profile picture appear next to my name in these threads!? I can't seem to find out how to do this!!

I like the idea, soft light and patterns. I would sharpen the plumage more and run NR on the BG.

As for the avatar, go to the settings, on the left side are the options you were looking for.

thanks for your advice. The photo is actually a little out of focus (the focal point is on the head) so that might explain the lack of sharpness.
thanks for the info Axel, I had no idea it was called an Avatar!!
