    Canon 1D mk3 500mm f4, tripod, Manual exposure 1/2000 @ f4 Iso 400.

    One of the best spoonbill images I've seen on this site. I love the crispness of the bird.

    I like the pose, soft light, colors and details. The BG and low angle add to it, too. There is a slight sharpening halo around the legs but not a big deal. Maybe a little bit CCW rotation.

    This is sweet. The pose and the light are what it's all about. I agree with Axel on a little CCW rotation and the halo. I like the "look" of this one.....guess your MkIII is back and working again.

    HI James,

    Love the pose. I have to agree about the rotation. The pose is very lovely and the feathers are a huge plus in this image. When was this taken??
