Editing the Blur Guide
I am home and was editing some of Denise's text for the blur guide. I stopped to follow her directions for creating post processing zoom blurs and used Radial Zoom Blur in CS-5 to come up with this. Then I used the old Ippolito trick and erased the Waved Albatrosses face and bill :) You can check out the really cool original (can you believe that there are many, many Marine Iguanas surrounding this nesting bird?) in my Avian post here.:

Ahhhh, this is great! Love the sharp head and bill and the fact that the center of the blur is not the head. The eye of the bird pulls the eye of the human away from the center of the zoom. Very cool! Can't wait to see the guide.

Thanks Kerry. We put in two hours of hard labor last night on the phone. The biggest challenges will be assembling the work into one cohesive piece as at this moment it consists of two manuscripts (with tons of photos) and finally getting the whole thing laid out in In Design. I used that to do ABP II and I did great but that was years ago :) And as my late Dad would have said, "I don't remember such good anymore."

ps: As far as the center of the blur not being the head I just noticed it (but I agree). Unfortunately it was not intentional but a great lesson learned. The image is somewhat of a pano crop and the grid in the Radial Zoom Blur dialogue box is 3X2....

Artie, I like that you have the zoom coming from the bottom rather than the head. Nice look to this. Can't wait for the blur guide.
