    Default Moose Interaction

Looking through files from last winter hoping to feel cooler :) .. brutal temps in our area and looking forward to returning this winter.

A small group of two bulls and several cows, liked the interaction of these two. Not much light.

A nice moment well caught Alf. The subjects really stand out from the softer surrounding tones. Good use of the higher ISO setting as well. I am never brave enough to select such a high number, yet this image shows what is possible.

Love the almost cyan monochrome snow effect here Al with a nice symmetry of this pair.

Hi Austin I think the key to the high ISO images is having a correct exposure, actually maybe not correct but the histogram pushed all the way to the right .. if you need to open up any in PS the image won't make it !!

... btw the Chas like to say that sharpness beats noise any day of the week and he is right !!!! :) I subscribe to the theory !!

Like the moody atmosphere and the vertical composition. Like the inclusion of the trees as well.

Like the cool tones in this image a lot. Would prefer not to have the snow covered rocks in the foreground as they aren't as interesting as the grass and vegetation, but not a deal breaker. Like the interaction between the two animals. You've done well with "not much light". TFS.

    Al,

What a fabulous image, the muted tones work very well here. For some strange reason the broken fence in the BG adds to the image further.

I agree. Sharpness will get priority over noise any day. Nice feel to the image. This would not have been possible a few years back. I guess we will be photographing in total darkness in a few years hence.

Wow, I really like the feel of this.
Nice job with the blues, lots of people might shy away from that. But I really like it.

    Cheers Alfred!
