    Default Red Deer + update

Hi after a very long time a post from me off a red deer that I shoot today. I found this picture nice because he was standing on a small hill to view around to see if there was something going on. When he was done he left in too the forest.

A nice alert pose and sharp. Light is a bit harsh. Animal is needlessly centered. Moving to your right about 5 meters and working vertically might have improved this quite a bit as you may have been able to get an all green tree BKGR.

Artie has got his critique totally correct, looking at the BG not just the subject is something I am trying to remember, were you on foot or in a vehicle?
It is still a very nice pose, and would be a keeper for me.

    Next time:)

Moving the comp to the right so it's not as centered, plus some more USM on the deer, a fine pose nonetheless in nice light!

Hi Willem Agree on the animal placement, just select an AF point to the left for moving ... also a bit more room up top would be nice !!!

    Hi,

Thank you all for the comments.
The reason for de central placing is that on both sides there were several deer, and I want him too stand alone on this hill. That's the reason for the central placing.
