This Guys are quite shy, but on that day you get them to pose for you. This was made under overcast conditions and have lighten a eye a bit using shadow/ Highlight tool.

Have kept the crop tight and let the natural 2 tone BG be, hope it works..

    Regards,

    Kiran.

    Sorry forgot to mention the techs: 1/500, F 7.1, ISO 500, + 1/3

I like the soft light, sharpness and head-on look. The eyes are leveled, which looks good, maybe a bit more contrast? Could you post the techs? Thanks for sharing!

How are those eyes Kiran. Super pose and detail, and against a killer BG.

This looks perfect on my monitor, Kiran. What a beautiful creation with those striking eyes, thorny perch, and smooth complimentary background.

    Species ??
Beautiful and pleasing as everyone has mentioned.
The thorns on the limb add a lot of interest and character to the image and helps say "this is where I live "

Kiran I really like the eye contact and the birds' details when imposed over the lovely soft BG. Thanks for sharing.

Kiran, killer stare. Great job of getting the bird perfectly parallel and the eye-level shooting angle. Exposure and comp superb as always.

Agree with above Kiran, a magnificent image! The light is beautiful and my fixation with eyes is amply served in this one. I would like to see a little more room at the top.

If I were printing for the wall I'd remove the little white fleck on the wing.

Thanks Fabs, we have a couple of grasslands close to the city I live, The secret of these guys are that they prefer lower perches during sunset and usually hangout in fixed areas. I had to do a lot waiting for such moments but with all your good wishes and lords blessing, sometimes I live such moments.

Thank you all for your kind words and most valuable suggestions, keeps me going..

    Regards,

    Kiran.

Love the stare and the symmetry of the face. The crop works well for me. Like this one a lot!
