    I love it, the soft quality of the side light is very nice. wish you would give the specs.

    Very artistic and painterly. I especially like the soft pastels.

    Since the bird forms a strong vertical element, I wondered if adding a slightly stronger hint of horizon might aid the composition. Just experimenting ...

    Very artistic presentation and mood and I like David's suggestion for the horizon. He has also made the whites a bit brighter, which also stroke me as an improvement. Very well seen!

    I had initially done quite a bit more, including some modeling with the light to bring out the form, but I turned that layer off when I reposted.
