Hi Jim, terrific behavior image, I like the light, crop and colors. Sharpness looks good, only wish to see more details in some of the whites on throat and belly of bird. Could be my crappy laptop though....

Great image Jim. Love the action and the color in the reflections. I might like to see a little more room behind the bird (maybe for it to fall back into when that worm finally snaps :) ).

Fantastic behaviour captured in beautiful light. Is there some motion blur or is it just my aging eyes?

    Hi Ofer....

May be you're aging eyes...I don't see it on my end and I just got new specs :)

Wow, I didn't know that semi-palmated plovers were in to elastic bands!!! Lovely action caught - looks sharp on my screen.

I am pleased to hear the image is sharp and less happy to realise it is my eyes....
I think what makes the head look a bit blurred is the catchlight which is not well defined - would work on it a bit.

As the old saying goes… “the early bird gets the worm”. Great timing and capture!

Jim, one heck of a shot. Perfect light and exposure to go with the killer pose, comp and shooting angle. Well done in getting perfectly parallel to the bird. Your work is very inspirational.

Fantastic action shot, in nice light. Love the way he is leaning into his effort; great tension. Nicely composed IMO.

This is just awesome. Fantastic pose. It looks like the worm is about to break into pieces.

Fantastic behavioural image, you must be stoked with this one. Love the pose and the low angle.

Super behavioral image! The slanted pulling pose conveys the effort of the bird perfectly and the long worm is a bonus!
