Another from Playa Zancudo Southern Costa Rica where this bird is apparently an uncommon visitor. The mud banks are exposed at low water and edge up to Mangroves. The lanscape is weird but very rich in foods, there were so many water birds here at the estuary odf the Coto River

The flat light and light angle were working against you here. Since the sand is not very good looking, wish you had used a lower angle. Good EXP and sharpness.Thanks for sharing this one, Rich.

was taken from dock walkway no chance to walk on the mud flats though.
