As you can see from a few previous posts.....had a great road trip with friends; Nick Palmieri, Susan and Anthony Candelario, and Dave Mills down to Longwood Gardens. Trip home was non-stop laughs about things I can't repeat here!

Had a blast with the water lilies but always love to venture out to the Hibiscus. This bud was just unfurling....making the stamen and the curled petals.....right on the same focal plane.....f32 and fill flash.....took care of the rest!

canon 1D Mark lll with the Sigma 180mm macro, HH, for 1/160 sec at f32 and ISO 800 with the MT 24 twin flashes at +1/3 in a very bright covered arboretum, full frame. A few flash highlights removed from drops in PP'ing.

I think the name really fits the image! I love the color and the image design. Well done.

Very cool colors, patterns, and textures, Roman, and the water drops are an added bonus. Good use of DOF and I like the off-center comp. Awesome!

You really caught that flower on the perfect day, Roman! Those petals unfurling make for one very interesting portrait. Super details and the orange colors make me want to run out and get a bowl of orange sherbet. Yummy stuff!

Hey Roman, Good eye on the comp and having enough DOF to carry the image. Agree on the fitting title and love the big waterdrop on the rt. Beautiful...

Very nice colors and dof. I might be tempted to crop a bit from left side, just to the right of that waterdrop, but like it a lot as presented.

Lovely and a great title! At this point there really isn't anything I can add to the praise already given.

Give that man a cigar! Love it - I think the DOF is optimal, my eyes go for the stamen round the swirl onto the water droplets and settle on the stigmas. The detail is excellent as are the colours - can't suggest a thing to improve it!
