They do have amazing feet Richard !!! Whites could not look better, lots of detail and well exposed Good pose and sharp !!

If you were inclined to go for the gusto ... could lay down on the mud and get that sweet look ... talking the bird not you :) Would take dedication which at times I have ... not always !! :)

Hi Richard - agree with AL'S comments - I would not hesitate to get down in the mud - as long as I had a co-operative subject - nothing worse than getting down into it and then the subject flys straight away.
Might clone the shadow out of the BG at the top.
