The aligator has come nice. The pattern of the scales in the ventral side kind of leads your eyes up to the duck. The tail is clipped. The grass at the bottom is bright and is distracting. A slight crop would be of help. Is this the total capture or is this a cropped version?

Thanks Sabyasachi for the insightful comments. This is uncropped. The brightness of the grass is a result of exposing for the darker alligator. Giving the image a new look I would have cropped out most of the vegetation frame right and the bright grass in the lower third. I was hesitant of a tight crop due to the grossness factor.

Cool image Harry. Since the tail is clipped a tighter crop might be good. You can darken the overly bright grass really easily with a quick mask or layer mask.

I am with you on the grossness. I photographed a Gator taking a pelican last year and I only kept a small number of images because of that factor.
