Yellow Wildflower

I don't know the name of these wildflowers, but thought they would make a good subject for a chiaroscuro image. The chiaroscuro effect was done in-camera. I applied a slight orton effect and then the dry brush and paint daubs filters.

Christopher, The background really makes this jump off the page. Nice use of the Orton effect-very subtle. I like the curved stem. I9'm seeing a tiny circle in BG URC and a teeny tiny bit of edge that I would evict on one petal R/center. Very nicely done.

Man, you got some incredible depth here, Christopher! The Orton effect and the soft paint daubs really simplifies the image and takes it over the top IMO. Capturing the curve of the stem and the unblemished petals makes for a highly interesting and colorful image. Tons of bang for the buck!

Christopher, this is an excellent example of in-camera chiaroscuro! Really beautiful details and colors and the effects you used brought out the best of each. These might be "birdsfoot tefoil" flowers. Lovely.
