For the last day of the project, I chose another cute moment of the Black Skimmers, that should be about fledged now, need to go a check them up.
Junior is happy to have a decent size fish to lunch!

Great image, Fabs. Epitomizes what you meant by "interaction". Couldn't ask for better head positions/angles, and action, with both birds and lunch in focus. Great detail/exposure in blacks and whites. Minor purplish distraction in left lower background.

Sure is a jaw dropper, the angle and interaction is excellent, quite stunning. Not sure what I see popping through the blur between the adults legs, a small dot above the head to the right I would have cloned out and not sure if it needs slight right hand rotation. Was this in a blind?

Sharp. EXP perfect. Perfect head angle for the chick. And wonderful interaction. Nice light. A shame that they were not up on top of the sand ridge.

Great interaction and behavior shot. Most of them around here are a lot bigger now.

Art, I have never been in a blind in Florida. These birds nest in public beach, so they are used to all kinds of distractions. Of course, if you get too close for comfort, they wool dive bomb you, gut given enough distance, they don't mind at all.

    Thanks, everyone!

Note: My very low angle is for the purpose avoiding BG distractions, even at the cost of the feet There's a million other Skimmers around!

Great moment, great sharpness and depth of field. I understand why you chose the very low angle, but in a perfect world I would have liked it if the feet was visible :)

Great interaction and exposure. Subjects is razor sharp and exposure is nailed. Like the soft colours and comp.

    Fabs,

Looks like they're in the clouds. Love the killer colors and oh what sharpness. Don't mind seeing the feet. Saw Alfred's photo of several skimmers at the beach with people all around the other day.

    Thanks for sharing...
