This was taken last summer when one of the swallowtail kites was nesting close by. It was an amazing experience to watch them from nest building to the young chick fledging. they are wonderful parents and it was a privilege to have had this opportunity.

Good memories, comadre. Setting the white point at around 235 should take care of the cast, in fact, you got COlor Efex, don't you? They have a "neutralize whites" filter that works very well.

Thanks Artie !!! We were not able to tell for sure what species the little chick was but it did seem to have a large beak. They usually brought back iguanas so we were surprised to see that this time it was a chick. :(
I love the full wing spread corner to corner and view of bird's eye and prey. I always thought its prey was top dwelling reptiles and large insects. Big surprise when I saw this.
I am confused though since you mentioned Snail Kite and this looks like a Swallow-tail Kite ?
